Oasis Development Foundation Balochistan (ODFB)

Oasis Development Foundation Balochistan is a provincial based Non-Government and non-Profitable Development Organization working in social development sectors of Balochistan province since 2004. The need for creating an organization came from the very black picture Balochistan presents in terms of basic development indicators such as education, health, and Gender discrimination in the society. ODFB is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1861 in 2005, as an indigenous Development Organization. It is governed by a volunteer general body through a Board of Directors, and operates from three offices in the province, including a main office Sibi, and District Offices in Kachhi (Bolan) and Jaffarabad.

The founding members of ODFB wanted to address the problems faced by the poor communities of Balochistan and with this in mind they founded the organization that they called Oasis Development Foundation Balochistan more popularly known as ODFB. Initially ODFB activities were revolved around creating public awareness through campaigns of different levels and strengths on self help bases aiming to create awareness among the people on basic issues like promotion of qualitative education and health related issues. These accomplishments bring in response from the community and this encouraging stance helped to expand ODFB activities.
