Where the mosque was built, that place was called the village of Khar. Soon after building that mosque the people of Kalam realized that it was not a suitable place for mosque. 200 years old Mosque was renovated before 2010 flood, however, the mosque was not damaged.
The walls were constructed with solid diyar wood and then more stone and wood was added.
