King Edward Medical University (KEMU)

King Edward Medical University was founded in 1960, inaugurated by Honorable Chancellor KEMU Ch. Muhammad Sarwar Governor of Punjab. The university was named after Edward VII, King of Great Britain. After Pakistan’s independence, the university became the only medical college in the country and in 2005 became a charter to award degrees in its own right.
