Taj Mughal Shikari tower is around 1100 years old, which makes it the oldest monument in the Gilgit–Baltistan. Ismaeli Emperor Taj-ud-Din Mughal built this monument with the help of local people and soldiers on the south mountain of Khomar and Jutial. He moved from Badakhshan to Gilgit and conquered the Gilgit region. The main purpose of this monument was to run the system with safety and continuity.
The monument measures at 14’-4” width and 21’-10” height
In 2022 Gilgit-Baltistan development authority started restoration work of this monument.
