Sakesar is located in the outer fringes of Soon Valley in the north west of Khushab District, Punjab. It is the highest mountain in the Salt Range in Pothohar. It’s height is 1,522 m from sea level. Another beautiful Uchhali Lake is also located in Soon Valley. It is a good picnic spot and moderately tough hiking point.
According to survey, there are over 60 species of birds and 10 species of mammals exist in and around Sakesar.
