The Quaid-e-Azam House, also known as Flagstaff House, is located in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Recognised as one of the most famous museums in Karachi,is a museum dedicated to the personal life of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It wasn’t always a museum, it was a place that Muhammad Ali Jinnah the founder of Pakistan, once called home.The House was purchased by the Quid-i-Azam in 14th August 1943 from Mr. Sorab Kavasji Katrak, a former Mayor of Karachi. Fatima Ali Jinnah, the sister of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, stayed in this house for around 16 years after the death of his brother. The building was later acquired in 1985 by the Pakistani government and conserved as a museum. The building of this museum was constructed in 1886 and was designed by Moses Somake, who was a renowned architect of the time. This museum is a spacious mansion it has been divided into different parts including the main building (which is centrally air-conditioned), an outhouse, an annex, a library and a beautiful garden with lush green plants.
