Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA)

The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) is an electoral alliance of various political parties based in Pakistan, founded by Pir Pagaro in 23rd October 2017. It was formed in the wake of 2018 Pakistani general election.
One of the aims of this alliance is to defeat the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the Sindh province, which is considered a stronghold of the PPP. The alliance includes the Pakistan Muslim League (Functional), a party which emerged as the runner up to the PPP in the 2013 provincial elections in interior Sindh and garnered 12% of the vote in the province by itself. The alliance has been seen as a major challenger to the PPP in the 2018 elections.
