Save The Children

Save the Children is one of the leading development organisations in Pakistan implementing humanitarian and development programs with a unique focus on the needs and rights of children. Save the Children has been working in Pakistan since 1980, since the organisation started implementing program for Afghan refugees in Pakistan. By the end of 2014, we were successfully implementing child protection, health, nutrition, education, emergency response, and economic opportunities programs in 45 districts across Pakistan. In a bid to facilitate the Government of Pakistan’s ongoing process to register non-government organisations, Save the Children has restricted its interventions to two of four provinces of Pakistan. As of August 2015, Save the Children maintains its presence in 11 districts across of the Punjab and Sindh provinces, with a country office in Islamabad.

Save the Children enjoys a reputation of a leading child rights organisation specialising in child protection, nutrition and maternal and newborn health. Save the Children has an outstanding track record of working successfully with communities and the government to improve the lives of children across Pakistan. Our main thematic areas include; child protection, child poverty, child rights governance, health, nutrition, education and emergency response programs. Save the Children specialises in strong research capacity to implement well designed programs and evidence-based interventions that can be scaled up.
