Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Welfare Trust (KGNWT) is an aid and development charity with grass-roots experience that helps low-income families to alleviate their poverty and suffering by taking care of their basic necessities of food, water, shelter, health, education, and employment – all without compromising their dignity. In addition, KGNWT also rapidly implements emergency humanitarian relief in areas that have been struck by calamity.
KGNWT Projects
- FOOD
Our Food Projects help feed millions of people a year from providing families Ration Packs, to Mobile Kitchens feeding the poor and our Ramadan Food Camps and Qurbani distribution projects.
- WATER FOR LIFE
Our Water Projects range from providing Water Pumps in the most deprived areas to installing large Water Treatment plants helping thousands.
- HEALTH
Our Health Projects vary from helping individuals to supporting institutions such as the Fatima Bai Hospital and providing Medical Camps in the most deprived areas of Pakistan.
- EDUCATION
KGNWT has donated over Rs 12.5m / £75,000 / $125,000 / AED 465,000 to the Memon Industrial & Technical Institute in Korangi, Karachi, for the construction of a women’s vocational wing.
- ROZGAAR
- KGNWT have launched three projects, the ‘Rickshaw’, ‘Motorbike’ and the ‘Sewing Machine’ Assistance projects to help empower poor jobless people with a means to earn their daily livelihoods and get themselves and their families out of poverty.
- MARRIAGE ASSISTANCE
KGNWT realises the difficulty poor families are in and provides marriage funds and, with your generous help, to date Rs 16m / £114,750 / $183,600 has been spent on ‘Ijtimai Shaadi’ (Collective Wedding Ceremonies) of 306 couples.
