Kashf was set up in 1996, registered as a microfinance institution which is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. It offers a suite of innovative and transformative products and services to low-income households especially women in the microfinance sector at home and abroad. Kashf believes in creating an enabling environment for women micro-entrepreneurs and is committed to creating products and services driven by client needs and demands. It is run by the team under the guidance of a diverse and capable Board of Directors
Kashf’s main spheres of intervention include
- Financial Product and Services – Interventions to strat/expand business through micro-credit and build assets.
- Insurance and Safety Nets – Safety nets for low income households through credit for life insurance and micro-health insurance to protect from health shocks.
- Capacity Building Trainings – Training that build vocational skills, confidence, financial management capability and business management acumen
- Social Advocacy Interventions – Program that create awareness and start a discussion on gender based issues and social issues at the community and society level.
