Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust Eye Hospital (LRBT) is the largest provider of eye care in Pakistan, giving the gift of sight and transforming lives. It is committed to creating a better Pakistan by preventing the suffering caused by blindness and other eye ailments. To this end it will provide state of the art comprehensive free eye-care in keeping with its tradition of excellence, efficiency and compassion for all.
Facilities at LRBT Hospitals & Clinics
LRBT is present in all 4 provinces of Pakistan, with a network of 19 fully-equipped hospitals, 61 primary eye care, and outreach clinics. Except for Karachi, Lahore and Quetta, the remaining 15 hospitals in small towns and rural areas where poverty is greatest and the facilities poorest.
Virtually all Pakistanis are now able to access high-quality, free-eye-treatment from LRBT Hospitals, within 200 kilometres of their residence.
Achievements at a Glance
In over 35 years of operations, we have saved the sight of over 51 Million patients and performed more than 5 Million surgeries. LRBT is the major provider of eye care in the country totally free for the poor. LRBT impacts and improve the life of more patients than any NGO in the country.
