Another beautiful high altitude lake located in Nagar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan near Rush Pari Peak. Rush lake is the highest alpine lake in Pakistan and one of the highest alpine lakes in the World, at an surface elevation of 4694 meters. The lake is about 15 km north of Miar Peak and Spantik (Golden Peak). Primary source of water is Miar Glacier.
How to get there?
It takes about 3 hours (125 km) from Gilgit airport via Karakaram Highway N-35 and continue on Continue onto Nagar – Hopar – Hisper Rd to reach Bharpoo Hopar and Nagar. Rush Lake and Rush Peak can be reached via Nagar Valley and Hopar Valley via Hopar Glacier (Bualtar Glacier) and Miar Glacier.
